Jul 2, 2014 at 15:13 | comment | added | user3961 | Take a snapshot of your reputation tab on your profile. What I can see doesn't show any rep changes since two days ago and I know for a fact you were over 50 just yesterday. Actually, did you delete a post? Any rep gained from a deleted post is removed, I think.

Jun 30, 2014 at 20:43 | comment | added | robert bristow-johnson | "... Feel free to unload on me there." not planning on it.
Jun 30, 2014 at 19:39 | comment | added | user3961 | "so everyone claims, even those who do not welcome it." Well, the chat room is open for you. Feel free to unload on me there.
Jun 30, 2014 at 18:55 | comment | added | robert bristow-johnson | Seems like you can comment everywhere now. - we'll see how long that lasts.
Jun 30, 2014 at 18:46 | comment | added | robert bristow-johnson | me: "As harshly as I have been treated here, have i said anything like that to anyone else?" @fredsbend : "Sounds like an invitation for criticism to me. I wanted to make sure the request was genuine before I spent the effort." it wasn't a request to do anything but to consider the question. it was only that. "I guess not." i guess not. "I always welcome constructive criticism." so everyone claims, even those who do not welcome it.
Jun 30, 2014 at 18:31 | comment | added | user3961 | Seems like you can comment everywhere now.
Jun 30, 2014 at 18:30 | comment | added | user3961 | You said: "can you possibly tell the truth?" Yes, I can and do. I didn't realize there was an edit issue. I cannot see deleted answers, so I could not see the edit. I do wish though that my first suspicion was true. Seems not. Many users delete their posts because of community pressure.
Jun 30, 2014 at 18:30 | comment | added | user3961 | Have you asked for suggestions on how to improve your behavior and responses? I think so: "As harshly as I have been treated here, have i said anything like that to anyone else?" Sounds like an invitation for criticism to me. I wanted to make sure the request was genuine before I spent the effort. I guess not. I always welcome constructive criticism. I created a chat room to continue on that if you want. Perhaps we should take the rest of this there.
Jun 30, 2014 at 17:17 | comment | added | robert bristow-johnson | as a consequence of this discussion (and @fredsbend 's misunderstanding of my reason for deletion) i have undeleted, and then reverted, my answer in the "Protestant Prayer Services" question.
Jun 30, 2014 at 16:54 | comment | added | robert bristow-johnson | the reason i deleted it was because, with no collaboration nor consent from me, it was changed from my answer to someone else's answer, yet was still identified as my answer. i'm just astonished at the acute degree of factual inaccuracy here. it's like no one here (or very few) knows or cares what is true and factual. you just get to say whatever the hell you want (your opinion) and ascribe to to fact.
Jun 30, 2014 at 16:50 | comment | added | robert bristow-johnson | have i asked for that, @fredsbend ? (careful about slivers and planks of wood in our eyes.) i have only asked to not be censored (which is quite consistent with SE fundamentals) since i do not attack other participants, yet have been attacked multiple times, by moderators very high up, and with no justifiable reason. "Your Protestant Prayer Service answer was pitiful, and to say otherwise is denial" that is your opinion, you're welcome to have it. "you deleted it yourself, realizing that it was not good enough; you are improving" wrong again, can you possibly tell the truth?
Jun 30, 2014 at 16:11 | comment | added | user3961 | If you actually want me to suggest improvements in your behavior and responses, instead of just your posts, I can do that, but will that be fruitful?
Jun 30, 2014 at 16:10 | comment | added | user3961 | @robert Yes, I was harsh, to hopefully get your attention. Your Protestant Prayer Service answer was pitiful, and to say otherwise is denial. You deleted it yourself, realizing that it was not good enough; you are improving. Here's what I'm hearing: "I enjoy the site when my posts are not deleted, edited or downvoted." I think, then, that it makes sense to avoid making posts that you think will be deleted, need editing, and downvoted. But the Prayer answer shows you not doing that. Without a doubt, you had to know that it would be very poorly received, right? So why did you write it?
Jun 30, 2014 at 16:00 | comment | added | robert bristow-johnson | @fredsbend , (note the space between reference and comma), i enjoy it sufficiently if my words are not censored nor changed to something completely different (yet the answer is still "credited" to me). that happened on the recent "Protestant prayer service" question and i had to revert or delete the answer. i chose to do the latter. anyway, what's disappointing, instead of dealing with the charge and reality of censorship, i get crap like "stop blaming everyone else for your inadequacies or gtfo". as harshly as i have been treated here, have i said anything like that to anyone else?
Jun 30, 2014 at 5:58 | comment | added | user3961 | On another thing, if you are so disappointed with the site (you complain about it quite a bit) what keeps you coming back? From my perspective, it doesn't look like you enjoy it. The internet is a big place; you don't have to come here to talk Christianity.
Jun 30, 2014 at 5:54 | comment | added | user3961 | You know, I had a hard time at first too and made a really long and stupid meta post about it.
Jun 30, 2014 at 5:53 | comment | added | user3961 | I only came by to see if you responded. The comma after my username must have prevented the ping. I have heard of all of those things/persons. Thinking about it now, I think I have heard of people wearing strainers to mock religion about a year ago, but generally ignored it. Those answers are good to okay. I upvoted the first two. I wish you would post more like the first one more often. I have yet to see an answer of yours that was deleted that didn't deserve it, not because of its content, but lack thereof.
Jun 26, 2014 at 17:01 | comment | added | robert bristow-johnson | those are reasonable, but not pat answers (that you get from the American Prosperity Heresy that masquerades as Christianity). when the answers get more difficult and theologically controversial, the mods just censor it and wipe it clean. i can't even refer to it. if you don't get it, @fredsbend, your Moody and Boise Bible College left you short changed. the fact is, most of the answers here are crap. most of the questions are also. they don't censor those (and they shouldn't). so why censor the authentic answers that are difficult to accept? try knowing what you're talking about.
Jun 26, 2014 at 15:18 | comment | added | robert bristow-johnson | so when people ask a stupid question, i stay the hell away from it. when they ask a reasonable question, i answer like christianity.stackexchange.com/questions/2095/… or christianity.stackexchange.com/questions/27202/… or christianity.stackexchange.com/questions/24345/… or christianity.stackexchange.com/questions/24899/… . disagree if you like.
Jun 26, 2014 at 15:11 | comment | added | robert bristow-johnson | for have a rep in the thousands and just having heard of FSM is interesting. have you heard of the Invisible Pink Unicorn? or how 'bout Russell's Teapot? Richard Dawkins? Daniel Dennett? Sam Hudson? the late Christopher Hitchens? heard of these guys? how 'bout the Intelligent Design debate? (don't accept the totally one-sided view on the article at Wikipedia, those guys ain't honest nor NPOV either. and they act like the mods here.)
Jun 26, 2014 at 4:55 | comment | added | user3961 | FSM is new to me. Just heard of it two days ago. I thought it was funny. I said I enjoy reading books like "Moody hand book of Theology." My formal study was two full semesters at Boise Bible College about eight years ago. The censorship of this site is limited to quality and factual inaccuracies, both of which you have in your posts regularly. Many of us have tried helping you see that, but none can seem to connect with you in a meaningful way. Your frustration/disappointment is obvious, but the community/mods are blameless. We have tried; you still do not see.
Jun 26, 2014 at 4:13 | comment | added | robert bristow-johnson | @fredsbend: i'm not blaming anyone else for anything except for censoring. and i'm not censoring myself. (small surprize you're FSM if your "study" of theology came from DL Moody.)
Jun 25, 2014 at 9:28 | comment | added | user3961 | You continuously post substandard gibberish that is downvoted into oblivion by the regular users of the site. There are 9 downvotes on this whiny, self-righteous, soap-boxed piece of crap you call a legitimate answer to Andrew's question, yet there are only 4 mods. The community at large is taking action against your abysmally low quality posts. You don't even use proper grammar most of time! You are the problem with your posts. Do better and stop blaming everyone else for your inadequacies or gtfo. Your tired song in your shrill voice is wearing on my ears.
Jun 21, 2014 at 22:06 | comment | added | robert bristow-johnson | @TRiG: ...and then lying about it... looks like a good example of Mt 23. i had written that this site is censored and you say that i am "lying about it". i guess we can let others decide who is lying. it's a common childish practice (done by both Republicans and other self-authoritarians like Cartman on South Park) to preemptively accuse their opponent of precisely their own sin, so as to evade such examination themselves. it's literally what Jesus was talking about with "Judge not lest you be judged". nice try, T. hurry up with your (false) judgment to deflect the spotlight from you.
Jun 21, 2014 at 21:50 | comment | added | robert bristow-johnson | @Andrew, i don't understand the nature of your question, particularly set alongside the premise of the question. the majority of the content is what it is. a lot of goofy crap that seems to be left uncensored (that's okay, i'm not for removing goofy stuff) and the occasional good question, sometimes with good answers and sometimes not-so-good. "good" is in the eyes of the beholder, and i don't demand that anyone agree with me about what it is. if you want to know what i think were relevant and "okay" questions, look at the ones that i have responded to that they did not delete.
Jun 21, 2014 at 16:34 | comment | added | TRiG | Since you persist in willfully misunderstanding the purpose of this site, and then lying about it, even though it's been explained to you numerous times, I begin to wonder what you're still doing here.
Jun 21, 2014 at 14:58 | comment | added | wax eagle Mod | @robertbristow-johnson you're not being censored, though it appears you may have run into automated quality bans for a series of low quality, highly downvoted and deleted posts. If this is the case and you're interested in answering again, you'll need to either ask some good questions or edit and flag for undeletion some of your old answers.
Jun 21, 2014 at 4:01 | comment | added | Andrew | @robertbristow-johnson If they aren't willing to discuss these things, what in your opinion is the majority of the content here (I'm new)?
Jun 21, 2014 at 3:59 | comment | added | curiousdannii Mod | No opinion is ever censored here as long as it is spoken politely. (Which also means giving answers which address questions.)
Jun 21, 2014 at 3:54 | comment | added | robert bristow-johnson | oh, now they magnanimously let me comment. how generous. the folks who control christianity.se are not inclusive. they are sacrificing any "teaching" (good or bad, that is in the eye of the beholder) for whatever it is that they like to read. they are simply not interested in a real or honest discussion of Christian theology or practice. what Christians have in common and what divides them. they just don't wanna deal with it, because it can be contentious. but it's really not about that. they just want absolute control over the message.
Jun 21, 2014 at 3:50 | comment | added | robert bristow-johnson | testing, 1, 2, 3...
Jun 21, 2014 at 3:47 | comment | added | Andrew | I've seen good questions and answers, but I have seen a lot of people stonewalled and dead-ended by moderators after asking important questions that are very relevant to Christianity. But if this site is operated by a secular entity, it makes sense that they would (in error) sacrifice good teaching for inclusion.
